Digital distribution
Digital distribution is the route by which a recording reaches streaming services. A distributor, also called an aggregator, delivers it to the services with its metadata. It can also assign the ISRC, the code that identifies the recording. To curb streaming fraud, IFPI calls on distributors to check identity and rights first.
