La Chaux-de-Fonds launches the Ultra Froid Mega Loin festival for June 2027

Producers Gilles Valet and Loris Vettese are creating a new contemporary music festival in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Ultra Froid Mega Loin, RTS reported on 22 September as the 2027 Capital of Culture programme was presented.¹ It takes place from 3 to 5 June 2027 at the Anciens Abattoirs, the former slaughterhouses, on two indoor stages and one outdoor stage, with 'musiques libres et aventureuses' (free and adventurous music).² The organiser is the association futur ancestral, as part of La Chaux-de-Fonds – Swiss Capital of Culture 2027.²³

Advance sales are already running on Petzi: the standard three-day pass costs 123 francs and a day ticket 43 francs; supporter prices go up to 210 francs for the pass.³ The 83-franc 'ultra mega early bird' pass has sold out.³ Gilles Valet says he has contacts with agents and clubs abroad and wants to set up co-creations between Swiss and international artists.¹ The website does not name any artists yet.²
