music.ch relaunches on a new platform

Since 15 October 2026, music.ch has been running on a new platform. The site has been around since 1995.¹ It is run by the music.ch association.²

Who is it for? Everyone in Switzerland who makes music, teaches it, organises it or makes it possible. Hobby or profession, folk or jazz. The home page puts it in one line: 'Find who to make music with' (in German: «Finde, mit wem du Musik machst.»).¹

Depending on what you're after:

• People to play with. A band, a singer, people for a new project. That's what the requests in the marketplace are for.
• A place or lessons. The directory lists music schools, conservatoires and academies, plus music shops and rehearsal rooms.¹
• Buying, selling or renting. Instruments and gear, also in the marketplace. A listing runs for 40 days, then you can renew it for another 40.³
• Keeping up. The magazine has news from the Swiss music scene, guides and a glossary.

The directory is still growing. music.ch is gradually moving over entries from its earlier records. But it also grows with you. Is your business already listed? Open the entry and choose 'Take over this entry'.³ Spotted a mistake? Choose 'Suggest an edit' on the entry.³

For existing members. If you were registered on the previous site, you still have your account.⁴ Your current listings from back then have come across too.⁵

What that means in practice: you don't need a new account. Enter the email address you used before and choose the code by email. You don't need a password.³
